No week goes by in which we don't fear that our application will be rejected somehow. Being shot down by an out-of-control internet troll or hearing a solid no when we had hoped for a booming yes, are two of the most frustrating things that may happen.

We are all afflicted by this fear, and we are all endowed with the ability to control and comprehend it at its most fundamental level. As a survival mechanism, our subconscious mind has designed us to be a part of a tribe, which we have accepted.

If you were expelled from your clan in prehistoric times, you would be forced to live in solitude and eventually die.

It is now translated into the threat of a dirty look from an officemate, the possibility of losing one's job, receiving an opposite viewpoint, or having a pitch go wrong. Fear of death is translated into our subconscious as a result of rejection.

After taking a closer look at what is truly happening and digging beneath the surface, we discover that our prehistoric reactions are precisely where they should be left alone.

Rejection is something that everyone experiences at some point in their lives. However, rejection does not imply failure.

If you view rejection as a positive learning experience, you can harness the power of rejection and utilize it as a springboard to greater heights of accomplishment.
